Hong Kong Students

How do you define whether a student is really outstanding or not?
Excellent examination results?Behaving himself/herself all the time without any mistakes?
Then,million students must be an outstanding one.

In the reality,excellent examination results and good behaviour are only the first requisition.
Count how many this kind of good students you can find in Hong Kong.
Yesterday, i was inspired by Mrs. Lam.
In the old days, providing that you studied hard and had the ability to enter university,
you could have a good prospect and a stable job with high income to support your living.
Nowadays, you can reach for an university student every where.
Even university students may not be able to find an occupation.
That's why schools and teachers always encourage us to join more activities in order to increase our competitiveness.

To be an oustanding student, i find it quite difficult.
The requisitions are{recognized by hong kong federation of youth groups},
1)excellent examination results
2)good conduct
3)sustain community service works of important values
4) leadership
5)outstanding skills of playing sports
6)take part in different varieties of extra-curricular activities

Isn't it harsh?Isn't it a bit sick for a normal teen to be such an "outstanding" student?
We can not ignore the fact that many of the Hong Kong students meet these criteria.
We should be all-rounded and prepare ourselves for challenges so as to compete with others.
This is the fact and we have to accept so.

I joined many programs and extra-curricular activities and i found myself quite useless.
Kap Yan is just a tip of an iceberg.
I always warn myself not to be so confident about myself.
I should stay humble and learn from others.
I should recognize my weaknesses and devise innovative solutions to address them.
Join more programs and know more about myself.
When i come across students in the society,i am nothing at all.
But i am optimistic,i am not afraid of being defeated and i am ready for this.
I can say that my learning attitude and life value are only the things that i am proud of myself.

As Mr.Tsang said,"Prepare yourself for challenges"
Don't force yourself to be outstanding in all aspects my friends,this is ridiculous.
Just be yourself!Take any chances that you can learn!
We are the future generation supporting Hong Kong!!
